Instructor Re-certifications

The Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy will be conducting Instructor Re-certifications at the below listed dates and times. Effective in 2025, instructor re-certifications scheduled below will not be available on-line.  To be eligible to re-certify, instructors must have taught the required 8 hours during the re-certification period.

Instructor Re-Cert classes will be held 8am – 12pm on each of the dates below.

Only one session is needed for recertification.

(Training location: Range, 21041 Benhams Rd. Bristol, VA. 100 rounds of pistol ammo required and pistol with red dot optic if available.)

Defensive Tactics                          1/31/25, 4/3/25, 6/13/25, 9/26/25, 12/10/25
(Training location: Virginia Army National Guard, 26460 Newbanks Rd. Abingdon, VA.)
