Rapid Response to an Active Shooter (Gate City, VA)

Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy will be conducting a Basic Active Shooter Course.  The course will be held on June 28-30, 2023 at the Scott County Vocational School in Gate City Virginia.

This is updated active shooter training that will focus on solo, multiple person responses and medical.  Individuals who have previously had active shooter training are encouraged to attend this updated training.

In-service:

Career Development hours will be awarded.

Registration:

Member agencies register through TRACER, non-member agencies complete a registration form and forward to the academy via e-mail jnash@svcjta.com.

Dress:

BDU’s or similar type clothing and agency issued web gear.  Long sleeves and groin protection are also required.

Fee: There is no fee for member agencies, $300.00 for non-members
