Vicarious Traumatization Workshop

The Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy and the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office will be sponsoring a Vicarious Traumatization Workshop on August 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM, at the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The training will be conducted by Dr. Chris Carusi, Ph.D. Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute.

The training will be held in the classroom at the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Dress Code: Dress code is business casual.

Training Fee: There is no charge for member agencies.

In-service: 3.5 Hours Career Development.
