Speed Measurement Instructor Course

Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy will be conducting a Speed Measurement Instructor Course on June 17^th-20^th, 2024. This course will certify those who successfully complete as instructors for both Radar and LIDAR.

Course Information

• Class size is limited.
• Students must have a minimum of two years’ experience with a criminal justice agency to be accepted.
• Students must be a certified radar and/or lidar operator.
• Students must be a general instructor.
• Students must complete a registration form, endorsed by the agency administrator.

Tuition: Free to member agencies

                $400.00 for non-members

Registration:  Member agencies register through TRACER. 

Dress Code: Dress code while attending academy training is business casual. No jeans or T-shirts.
