The Southwest Virginia EMS Council, Virginia Geriatric Education Center and Appalachian Memory & Aging Initiative will be hosting a one-day Integrated Dementia Response for First Responders training on June 13, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon.  This course will provide 6 hours of continuing education for EMS & Law Enforcement.  This course provides foundational knowledge and skills in caring for older adults, particularly during emergency response.  Registration will be through the link provided below.
