Instructor Development Course

The Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy will be conducting an Instructor Development Course on March 4^th – 12^th, 2024. This is a 7-day school.

Course Information

• Class size is limited.
• Students must have a minimum of two years’ experience with a criminal justice agency to be accepted.
• Students who successfully complete the Instructor’s Development Course and complete the required apprenticeship will be certified to instruct DCJS mandated entry level and in-service training.
• Students must complete an application, endorsed by the agency administrator.
• Students should be familiar with power point presentations prior to attendance. Recommended but not required. 

Tuition: Free to member agencies

                $700.00 for non-members
