Defensive Tactics Instructor Recertification Course
Southwest Va. Criminal Justice Training Academy will be conducting a Defensive Tactics Instructor Recertification Course on October 13th, 2022. Students must be a certified defensive tactics instructor.
Topics that will be covered:
- Response to resistance refresher.
- Weaponless control techniques to include seatbelt technique
- Knife defense
- Ground fighting
- Handcuffing
- Students should be in good physical condition.
- Students must complete a registration form, endorsed by the agency administrator.
Tuition: Free to member agencies
Registration: Member agencies register through TRACER, non-member agencies complete a registration form and forward to the academy via e-mail jnash@svcjta.com.
8 hours in-service hours will be awarded.
