2023 Legal Updates and Culture Diversity Training

The Southwest Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting 2023 Legal Update Training Classes on Thursday, June 15, 2023, and also on Thursday, June 22, 2023 and Culture Diversity Classes on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 and also on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.This training will be held in the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (EOC) Training Room.

The training will be taught by the Washington County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.

Class dates and times are as follows and each session is limited to 40 officers:

Legal Updates: 

Thursday, June 15 – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm 

Thursday, June 22 – 8:00 am – 12:00 pm 

Culture Diversity: 

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 – 8:00 am – 10:00 am 

Tuesday, June 13, 2023 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm 

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 – 8:00 am – 10:00 am 

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Parking is available on the side of the building upon driving through the main gate and the (EOC) Training Room is accessible by entering through the side door of the main building.

Legal and Culture Diversity Hours of in-service credit will be awarded to each participant in each session they attend.

The dress code for each training session is business casual.
